Grapevine red blotch virus (GRBV) is a major concern for California winegrape growers since its discovery in 2012. Negative impacts on juice have been reported, though inconsistent. A treehopper, Spissistilus festinus, transmitted GRBaV in strict laboratory studies, but field evidence of transmission is lacking.
In the current context of climatic, socio-economic and environmental changes, vinegrowers have to modify their farming systems to reduce environmental impacts while still assuring profitability at farm scale. Organic farming appeared to be an interesting production mode to face these changes.
Mineral oils (such as paraffin oil) have been used for a long time for disease control in vineyards. However the mode of action of this substance have not been studied yet. Our examinations highlighted that paraffin oils do not have a direct fungicide effect against neither the mycelia nor the conidia of Erysiphenecator, the causing agent of powdery mildew.

Plant-parasitic nematodes are cosmopolitan pests of wine grapes with yield losses worldwide estimated at approximately 5 to 8%. Managing plant-parasitic nematodes in wine grapes is challenging due to limited availability of effective nematicides and rootstocks with simultaneous resistance to multiple nematode species.
Among grapevine diseases affecting European vineyards, Flavescence dorée (FD) and Grapevine Trunk Diseases (GTD) are probably the ones with the most severe economic consequences. UAV multispectral images could be a powerful tool for the automatic detection of symptomatic vines.
