In this work agro-ecological vineyards are considered to all those who present a production scheme with low use of synthesis inputs and that tend to achieve a natural balance within the crop, regardless of their adherence to a formal certification system. It includes those that are self-declared agro ecological, organic or biodynamic.
Analysis of the evolution of the most cultivated vine varieties in Argentina during the period 2000-2016*. The area evolution by variety, color and aptitude in all the country and per province was analyzed. The total area under vine increased by 11%, varieties suitable for wine and / or musts increased by 9.5%, those suitable for fresh consumption had an increase by 46.5% and those suitable for raisins increased by 25.3%.
This work analyzes the social reproduction strategies of small and medium grape growers located in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. Small grape growers are involved in a process of continuous "displacement" that corresponds to intra-generational and inter-generational mobility. It is observed that those who were part of the rural middle classes are facing their declassification with survival strategies that allow them to continue as owners in the productive chain.
The table grape export business in Argentina had its boom in the last 2000s, when in 2008 it reached a little more than US $ 88,000,000. Since that time, the volume exported has been systematically reduced, which reduced the cultivated area and / or modified its destiny to wine or raisin production.
The grapes harvest in wine industry, in Cuyo, is a critical activity that each actor organizes individually. It operates on the basis of "every man for himself", where it is not recognized a scheme with agreed and complementary actions in pursuit of common goal and interest.
