Vintage organization software INTA®
Abstract
The grapes harvest in wine industry, in Cuyo, is a critical activity that each actor organizes individually. It operates on the basis of “every man for himself”, where it is not recognized a scheme with agreed and complementary actions in pursuit of common goal and interest. On the one hand, the winery is interested in organizing the reception of the grape according to the degree of maturity, and tells the producers the date on which they will begin to receive the harvest. On the other hand, the winegrowers search the necessary resources and organize their logistics, in order to promptly harvest the largest amount of kilos per day. In the wineries there are delays of more than ten hours for the unloading of the trucks with grapes, with the consequent loss of quality in the raw material, in addition the transporters and harvesters often lose the possibility of working the full day. To facilitate this organization in the harvesting and reception of grapes, INTA developed a computer system. The objective of this work is to show that harvest logistics software. It centralizes the actions of planning and organizing the resources, in the winery. With the simultaneous interaction of more than twenty-five variables, it is possible to optimize the times in each phase. The output shows to a schedule of start and end of harvest, hours of entry and departure of trucks with grapes, allocating the optimal resources to accomplish this activity without delays.
