IVES annual meeting 2023

In 2023, the 7th edition of the IVES annual meeting was held on 31 January and 1 and 2 February, in Portugal.

This annual event aims at gathering IVES’ members and partners, as well as members of the editorial boards of OENO One, IVES Technical Reviews and IVES Conference Series in order to exchange about ongoing and new projects related to the vine and wine sector.

For this year, we were hosted by 2 of our members and partners: The Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) and Sogrape.

The agenda was scheduled as follows:

• 31/01/23: an exceptional wine tour was organized in the Douro Valley, where the attendees had the opportunity to visit the Quinta do Seixo vineyard.
• 01/02/23: the journal’s editorial board meetings and IVES general assembly were held within the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), in Vila Real.
• 02/02/23: the IVES science meeting took place in Sogrape, Ferreira Cellars, which is based in Porto. During the whole day, 6 researchers shared their work on viticulture and enology with the attendees. Thank you to Hans Reiner Schultz, Stéphanie Marchand-Marion, Sara Bernardo, Jordi Ballester, Simone Vincenzi and Fernando Zamora for their presentations!
