The Napa Valley Grapegrowers invite qualified researchers and institutions to submit proposals for an independent, science-based review of the “Hall report” on Napa Valley soil fertility and vineyard longevity. The review will assess the report’s arguments, evidence, methodology, and alignment with viticultural science. Funded by the USDA Risk Management Agency, this project offers up to $20,000 for a literature-based critique. Deadline for submissions: September 5, 2025.
