The “GuIturnio dei Colli Piacentini” V.Q.PR.D. results from the vinification of Barbera (55-70%) and Bonarda (30-40%) cultivars, grown in the hilly area of the Piacenza district, identified by the DM 31-07-93 art. 3.
The present work concerns the “zonation” of this area, constituted by 3 valleys Tidone (A), Nure (B) and Arda (C )
Nel 1990 la Cantina LA VIS ha intrapreso un progetto di zonazione dei terreni vitati allo scopo di acquisire le conoscenze scientifiche atte a consentire il miglioramento delle qualità dei prodotti. Tale progetto si è articolato su di una superficie di 2000 ettari ubicati lungo l’asta fluviale del fiume Adige da Trento a Salorno e del torrente Avisio da Lavis a Segonzano.
As observed in other grape varieties, Red Grenache juice contains low level of volatiles. The main flavor compounds are ” Iock up “as flavorless glycoconjugates which could generate at the wine pH volatile flavorants and constitute the varietal aroma of this cultivar.
The Grenache observatory was created in 1995. The object of this 24 parcels network, covering main Rhone Valley soils, is to state the effect of pedo-climatic conditions on plant physiology and wine characteristics. The results concerning colour and tanins show a very important diversity in Grenache behaviour.
Rhone Valley A.O.C. Vineyards cover more than 70 000 hectares, of wich more than 40 000 plantedwith Grenache N. The Grenache observatory was created in 1995.
